I love walking in the streets of Beirut. There’s something about our city that’s mysterious, hidden, almost scary sometimes. In certain parts of the city, every wall has kept a memory from the war, a little mark that has changed it forever. Just like for us, this mark could be visible or simply internal. Some of these streets, those walls; have always been there, seen the unseen, witnessed the right and the wrong. I’m lucky to have no memory of the civil war; only little stories shared by the ones who lived it. But when you’re a Beirut girl by heart, you can’t but walk in these streets and grasp all the pain hiding as you get taken by its beauty.
I am wearing: red skirt and leather jacket from Depeche Mode (Beirut Souks, Gianvito Rossi pumps, Valentino purse and sunnies available on Chouchic.com.
