There are no official ways of deciding whether or not something has become a trend, but once different pieces are repeated in more than couple of brands on the runway, then there’s no hesitation about the fact that it’s going to be a hit.
Get ready for holograms, 3D fabrics or mirrored pieces: in other words, all things shiny, slicked, and rainbow prismatic.
According to countless Spring ’13 runways  (including Burberry, Hussein Chalayan, Jonathan Saunders, Theysken’s Theory and Proenza Schouler),  it’s going to be hard to ignore all of the holographic accents and mirrored effects in clothing, shoes and accessories. Nevertheless, one will have to be careful when adopting this trend because there’s a very thin line between turning it into something chic or falling into the comic-book-character look!
