Suit Up, Woman!

Yes there are proper dress guidelines to look sharp, professional and strong. The modern day lady doesn’t need to limit herself anymore to classic black/white, to the pencil skirt, the buttoned up shirt or the navy blue blazer. Time for a twist. Yes there are proper dress guidelines to look sharp, professional and strong. The modern day lady doesn’t need to limit herself anymore to classic black/white, to the pencil skirt, the buttoned up shirt or the navy blue blazer. Time for a twist. Keep the suit, change the details. Go for different fabrics, colors, textures, cuts. Who said suiting up isn’t trendy, sexy and avant-gardiste?

I’m all about wearing pieces or styles that are going to make me feel better about myself. I’ve put on that Dior matching blazer and pants to attend a quick event and go from a meeting to another. I love that the pants are cropped, making my legs look even taller even if I’ve decided not to wear heels. I dropped the classic shirt and decided to simply button up the jacket, I love the v-neckline when it stays classy, somewhere between conservative and sexy. Why these shoes? Because fashion week can be crazy and we need statements at our feet that are comfortable enough to run across the city! And YES, you can match an oversized purse with your suit because it will add a little casual touch.

And hey! Men love women in suits especially when we wear them at unexpected times. Imagine yourself in that pretty Dior suits with small heels for happy hour. Very strategic, trust me.

I am wearing: Dior outfit, shoes and Diorama purse from the FW15 collection.
