Every season, Rabih Kayrouz surprises us with the themes and ideas he follows, as we can never have expectations. For this RTW Spring/Summer 2018 collection, he paid tribute to craftsmanship, using embroidered fish patterns on ravishing fabrics. “I did smocks and embroidered clothing, a mix of creation and craftsmanship,” said the designer.
- The fashion house honored the hard work happening at the workshop, through colorful embroidered fish symbolizing good fortune, highlighted on black or white fabric with stitched rhinestones, a first time for Rabih Kayrouz RTW.
- As he dedicated the collection to hardworking tailors and hand-stitched pieces, Rabih is known for his love to strong leading businesswomen, who need suits as a key piece in their wardrobe. Either it’s embroidered or casual and simple from silk, it’s his woman’s favorite piece.
- This collection’s pieces came in varying colors, including white, blue, green, pink and yellow. A pair of wide trousers completed some looks, gathered at the waist with a wide cloth belt.
- Silk wide breezy dresses are the Maison’s signature, and some featured the fish as well, this time embroidered with brightly colored thread and color blocked fabric. Rabih Kayrouz’s clientele has a pretty good idea of what she wants. She’s curious and different.
