If there’s something I really don’t like about my body is the little tummy I’m fighting against. This is why, I constantly read about tips to get closer to a flat stomack. Today, I’ve decided to share few tips that my personal trainer, Georges El Khoury previously gave me:
1- DON’T EAT TOO FAST
Eating quickly and not chewing your food well can cause air swallowing that leads to bloating. Your tummy also needs 15-20 minutes to saturate the hungry feeling you had. This is why, you should always be conscious and help yourself slowing down in order to enjoy your food. Your meals should last at least 30 minutes (something I should learn!!); you’ll end up feeling fuller with less food.
2. WATCH OUT FOR SUGAR FREE FOOD:
Many patients suffer from bloating because they consume too much sugar alcohol in artificially sweetened foods and drinks, which can lead to bloating. This advice was created to fight my sweet tooth! Haha.
3- REDUCE STRESS:
When you’re chronically stressed, your mind and body can conspire to load the fat around your waist. The stress hormone cortisol stimulates the appetite and induces cravings for sugar and fat, the most easily burned fuels.
4- DON’T STARVE YOURSELVES:
The more you regulate your meals, the more chances you have of getting rid of the tummy!
5- DIET AND SIT-UPS:
I’d be lying to you if I don’t mention sit-ups! They surely are pain in the ass but theyare what helps me love my body by the day! Toning and strengthening the abdominal muscles can help you look less fat and improve your appearance, muscle tone, and posture, which is also very good for your back.
If you’re looking to flatten your belly for the long term, there’s no substitute for losing a few pounds. For almost everyone, when you lose total body fat, your body reduces belly fat preferentially.
Let’s get moving!
