Yesterday, I had such a good time in Beirut souks during the launch event of Zayan Ghandour’s pop-store (3 months only!) and the super nice gathering at the Mukhi Sisters store, both events part of Beirut Design Week. With all the political mess in the country, it shows how much our country’s people learned how to make use of every second we’re alive. I love Beirut!!
At the same time, there was also a Harley Davidson expo and I think it gave such a nice twist to the whole thing! Roland Abdallah, couture designer also had models wearing his dresses all around the space.
Zayan Pop-up store:
Zayan Ghandour (@AnaZayan) co-owner, creative director and head buyer at S*auce (Dubai) launched yesterday a pop-up store named “Zayan” in Beirut Souks. I was very pleased to meet her as I had heard so much about her work and as I’m big fan of S*auce myself!
The opening was very nice as we got to enjoy cotton candy and merry cream while looking at the bags, dresses and jewelry exposed in the store. You must pass by because you WILL fall in love with her work and get yourself a little something! The store will only be open for three months so make the most of it!
Yesterday was actually the first time I meet Maya, Mina and Zinat. I have to thank Fida Chaaban, editor-in-chief of RagMag for introducing me to them. I was even spoiled with a goodie bag! It was really interesting to learn about their approach of social media and all of how the identity of the brand was built. I personally own few pieces from the Mukhi sisters as I had spotted their work a couple of years ago. You must pass by the boutique to take a look at their work!
