I know you’ve all followed up with the amazing Chanel Fall Winter 2014 ready-to-wear fashion show. As usual, Karl Lagerfeld didn’t restrict himself from going completely creative and crazy. Some people might judge the idea of the Chanel Shopping Center to be contradictory with the luxury image of the brand but personally I love it when opposing elements are brought together. Everything is in the details and Chanel’s creative team proved it with this outstanding show.
When we first entered the Chanel Shopping Center, I got amazed by the amount of work that was done for this show. From the bouncers dressed as cashiers to the supermarket divided in different sections just as any real supermarket to the branded boxes that were aligned for us to sit on them, everything was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. The sales’ advertisings hanged on the walls, the Chanel logo on each and every type of pasta/rice/alcohol. It was stunning! I loved the stations of organic fruits and vegetables that were grown in the little garden next to the Chanel offices. Also, the music of the show was stunning and I loved the little voice ads in between the tracks, reminding us of the latest offers at the Chanel Shopping Center.
At the end of the show, we were invited to proceed to the cashiers and pick up our little giveaways and custom-made Chanel candies.
Regarding the clothes, it was a Chanel world of Technicolor (with a lot of pink, green, grey), with sneakers for all the looks and gorgeous trolley bags.
A very special thank you to Mme Violette Chammas for inviting me to attend the show, it was, once again, a remarkable Chanel experience.
