I fell in love with the Plaza Athénée and there’s no way back. As a fashion girl, I find the Plaza Athénée one of the most magical spots for the ones who appreciate the beauty of couture. One of the most iconic stories says that Monsieur Dior decided to settle in front of the hotel because he loved it so much. He used to have lunch at the Relais du Plaza, almost everyday. Since then, the rest of the most important fashion houses opened new branches on the avenue, making Avenue Montaigne ‘la grande dame” of French streets for high fashion, accessories and jewelry. Nowadays, it is considered to be the most important luxury streets of Paris and the location itself is primary as we only are few minutes away by walking from Francois 1er and the Champs Elysees.
The Plaza Athénée offers the most wanted view of Paris with a beautiful sight of the Eiffel tower. Waking up to this sight makes every second in this hotel worthwhile. The food is incredible with the signature of the unbeatable Alain Ducasse, you absolutely must spend one of your nights having dinner at the Relais du Plaza, inspired by the 1920s, it will take you back in time. You also cannot miss tea time at La Galerie with the most delicious pastry creations. I personally love the Bar, well-known for its exquisite cocktails.
The gym area is fully equipped and you will enjoy a quick session on some of the most advanced machines. As for the Dior Institute, every single facial and makeup treatment will make you feel like a princess, a fashion princess. I strongly recommend the Dior prestige treatment, it will leave you with a glowing skin.
The glamour of the hotel and the extremely friendly staff will constantly remind you of the iconic aspect of the Plaza. The littles stories of Mr Dior fill the space with wonderful legends that will make you dream.
I enjoyed every second of my stay there during Paris Fashion Week, the hotel crowd was amazing, filled with positive vibes and great energy. The rooms are extremely comfortable and you can decide to go for a French Classic interior or an Art-Deco feel. I had the chance to stay at the Prestige Suite, a suite that left me in awe. From the gorgeous bathroom to the large dressing and the immense living room, everything about it felt like a travel in time. I felt like a couture Princess, enjoying a business trip much more than expected.
It definitely is THE haute couture address in Paris. A must-try, trust me.
