Japanese Vibes

This winter, Japanese inspired-details are welcome to your closet. A lot of inspiration came from Japanese culture, nature and traditional items. I love this vibe, especially when it’s counter-balanced with elements that are more “western”. Designers seem to constantly be going towards the orient for inspiration. And I love it.

This Basil Soda outfit is one of my favorite from his previous ready-to-wear collection, I love simple and well-tailored pieces, especially when there’s a little element that comes in to make the difference. While black flare pants might appear the most basic winter staple, this fuchsia kimono belt comes in to break the rules.

“Trend” became an overrated word, while so many things seem to be back in “trend”, you will stand out in your outfits if you find these little details that will make the difference. If you have any fabric belt hidden in your closet, think about tying it over your favorite blazer, your most-flattering skinny pants and the pair of heeled ankle-boots you got last week. Exquisite! Add your statement earrings. Yes, even if you’re going to work.

I am wearing: Basil Soda top and pants from the brand’s SS15 ready-to-wearcollection, YSL black pumps, Sarah’s Bag clutch and a pair of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses.
