My couture week kicked off with Georges Hobeika’s Couture collection. I was very happy to be covering his show for the first time. For some reason, this year, (almost) every time, my favorite part of the collection is constituted of the first looks. I loved how Hobeika’s show started off. The cream shades looked so beautiful on the catwalk. In this collection, the short dresses are my favorite and the work of details is particularly gorgeous. I like it when a designer uses his best asset to make a statement and in Hobeika’s case, the work of details is definitely his strongest point. The first short dresses were just gorgeous and I couldn’t but snap numerous pictures of the short pastel pink gown with an embroidered cape. Simply exquisite! As for the bride, I’m not a big fan on the personal level but the amount of work is surprising and I’m sure all the spring brides will love this full-of-flowers gown.
