This day has finally come and i am now proud to present L’Armoire De Lana to you all, in its real essence and identity.
I must admit it was not an easy road and it did take over five months of work on both the design and web development. These choices are hard to make, but I cannot be happier about the result. I’ve lost hope sometimes and I also was over excited at some points but I must say that I’ve learned patience among all.
Yesterday marked the ninth month for L’Armoire De Lana and I still feel that I’m at the beginning of a long road, full of enchantment and discoveries. As you’ve previously seen, few weeks ago I was very happy to present to you the new logo of L’Armoire De Lana. Surfing L’Armoire De Lana is like exploring a closet hiding the most versatile daily discoveries. Subscribing to the blog is like buying a ticket for a beautiful journey into everything that shapes my world; from colors; to adventures, travels; design and MUCH more. My blog is this eccentric closet I want to build evermore to keep my readers avid of new findings. So yes, discovering is the key to my world; I can’t imagine myself talking about one single thing; it has to always keep moving, right? ? 🙂
The way into mon armoire and my world; is this peephole.
From that concept, Rola Ghotmeh and I have worked on contextualizing it to each and every single category of the blog. This is why, our thirteen categories have now corresponding peepholes that try to hint and describe what awaits you behind each of them.
As for the header of L’Armoire De Lanaa, as you can see, it includes an illustration of myself holding the peephole in my hands, a way to make you all feel part of my world that you’re entering with every click. As for the drawers and the elements around me, they’re all actually part of my real closet. I think the most beautiful part of my blog is how personal yet objective it tries to be. As you can see, we kept the background the simplest with a great focus on all of these elements that took us months of work.
I want to thank Rola Ghotmeh for her patience; you have to know that the header was worked on for almost three months! The result makes me forget everything. On the web development side, I send my greetings to Ziad Jammal, I’ve driven him crazy with my emails, I’m sure.
I want to keep it short, but I need to give you few navigation tips on the new blog:
1. As you can see, you first access the website and this new façade is for greater things in the future.
2. The blog menu is composed of all the categories’ personalized icons and the great part if that every time I update a category you will find it lining up first in the menu.
3. Any category you click on will lead you to the latest post in it. Once you’re reading a post, you can access the archives in an icons’ bar located at the left of the page.
Enjoy L’Armoire De Lana in its full makeover, I hope you like it 🙂
