If you thought this collection would include fully beaded long evening gowns, well you went wrong! This time, Saab pictures a very determined silhouette, a woman full of strength, confidence and resolutions. I fell in love with the looks that opened the show: high stand-up collars, tweed coats, gilded buttons, open-toed boots, everything for a strong allure, a military precision. The golden belt were just exquisite!
The deeper we went into the collection, the darker everything started to become. This collection’s print is dense, dark, textured: shades of pine, moss and a scarlet speak of nature. The forest simply envelops the woman’s body, celebrating it in the most mysterious ways. Another highlight of the collection is definitely the fur details in the accessories, the pockets, the collars.
The reason I’m extremely conquered by this collection is because the Elie Saab woman is portrayed as casual, very ready-to-wear, modern, freed from the long evening gowns, ready to rock the world in her buttoned-up coat.
