Chloé’s collection never fails to celebrate all women. This season is a tribute to all girls that embody the liberty and the elegance of a perfectly lived “simplicity”. Yes, it was all about redefining what a girl is and what a girl still does today and everyday of our contemporary world.
As the SS16 debuted on the catwalk, we discovered very colorful designs, portraying a life when natural expression is the most important, where it’s all about the pleasures you aim to get from your living, from every single thing you do.
I liked the balance between the sportswear-inspired looks and the 1970s. I particularly enjoyed the show when the styling went very daring and mixed printed chiffon 1970s skirts with baseball jackets/plain sweaters. It was the perfect way of representing the two trends. Weirdly enough, I loved that mix. My favorite looks were the last few dresses, I liked the mix of colors, the use of tassels and the very light fabrics. A very bohemian yet chic spirit that I’m loving for summer season. The accessories were simple with long beaded necklaces, a lot of tassels. Models were holding the straps of satchel bags rather than having them over their shoulders, I spotted a mini Faye bag and I think it’s about to become one of next season’s must-haves.
Another success for Waight-Keller who wants us to “Stay true, stay what we are, move forward. Everyday”. A beautiful message to remember.
