I don’t know if her name rings a bell but last year, I also covered Claudine Ivari’s show during FW12 Paris Fashion Week. It was a great discovery for me because I love to get introduced to up-and-coming designers and brands on the verge of making it big in the industry. This year, Claudine exceeded my expectations when it came to the quality of the materials she used, the mood of the collection, and the cuts she chose.
The fashion show took place in her gorgeous Parisian showroom, with gold details on the walls and huge chandeliers.
Most of the looks were in black with a couple of red outfits, some metallic gold details and a white short dress closing the show. As for the fabrics used, there was such a wide variety with everything from leather, wool, lace, crepe georgette to chiffon and tulle. The collection celebrated the strong modern woman; sexy when she’s all suited for work and extremely elegant for a dinner date. The models had slicked back hair in a ponytail with dark red lipstick. Take a look for yourself:
Last but not least, I would like to thank Samar Youssef, blogger behind “Une Libanaise A Paris” for the invite! Had such a great time scrutinizing each and single look with you.
