Modern architecture breaks from from traditions and loves lines, geometric shapes, bold linear elements and strong horizontal and vertical elements. This trend has strongly influenced fashion for the past two seasons and it’s on going for the coming ones. In fashion, this summer, we easily go from opulent and blossoming florals to very minimal and simplistic lines and geometric shapes. Then, the whole print/design becomes very graphical. I’m in love with this style. You could embrace the trend by simply wearing one very graphical piece and styling it in a minimal way or go for the matchy-matchy style. I love matching the same print and recreate the jumpsuit feel. The key advice stays the same, keep everything else simple and clean.
With a lot of styles and trends taking over the market this summer, you want to be going for the ones that will flatter you. What I love about graphical lines is how they can help elongate your figure when choosing carefully. Of course, you are aware that horizontal line might make you look larger if you’ve taken a little bit of extra pounds but vertical or geometric lines in the right colors can create illusions. The simpler the graphics, the better.
