Under The Spring Spell

I’m already under the Spring spell. I know we’re still enjoying our weekends on the snowy slopes and we want the ski season to never end but I can’t help but look ahead and feel excited for my favorite season to come. I was born on the first day of Spring and there’s naturally something in me that longs for that time of the year. The renewal, the colors of nature, the weather, everything calls for balance, for serenity. You always ask me why I recently become into clean eating, the reason is that I’ve been looking for balance for the past few months. Given my hectic lifestyle, I need to find stability in other spheres of my life. Eating clean, exercising and keeping these constant wherever I go, give me peace. And there’s nothing like spring for cleansing and getting back on the right track. I’ll be sharing more about that pretty soon.

One of my favorite Spring/Summer 2016 ready-to-wear collection was Elie Saab’s. As I had mentioned in my review of that show, I loved his strong move into proper ready-to-wear, something young, casual, versatile, the focus being on styling. The accessories were amazing, from the sandals to the chokers to the earrings to the clutches. Everything screamed ready-to-wear. It was all about styling, all about learning how to put together different pieces: matching shorts and blazers? bomber jacket with a puffy skirt? studded flats with an evening gown? Yes to everything,

Although it was freezing in Paris, I felt it was time to move onto a summery wardrobe. My heart fell last fashion week for Saab’s latest floral print. Loved styling it with a white blazer, his soon-to-become iconic gladiator sandals and choker. I kept everything simple with a basic black tank top and a transparent clutch.
