Tricks and trends: Long Skirts, #SS12

I like sharing with my readers my latest buys. It has been a while since I went shopping especially with all the hectic weeks that followed my trip to Paris Fashion Week. Last weekend, I had the occasion to go check out Zara for less then fifteen minutes! And I got a long skirt with splits; available for $64 (check the picture below).

Long skirts are back in style for effortless and boho looks. Even if you’re the most classic person alive; I believe it’s about time to bring them back into your closets! Nevertheless, if you’re a bit hesitant about this trend, make sure to take your time and choose the skirts that steal your heart away!

I’m very fond of coral shades and this coral pink long skirt became a must-have in my life as soon as I set my eyes on it. What made me chose it is first its color and secondly the splits. These come in to add a different feel to the skirt; something very summery, sexy and easy to wear. I already see myself wearing it with a tight pale green top, a statement necklace and camel flats.

If you intend to go shopping soon for such a piece; here are more choices; available at Zara as well:

Styling tips:

1. These skirts would look just perfect for Spring with long sleeves sweaters.

2. You can pair them with flats or even ankle boots if it’s a bit chilly.

3. Try to always go for effortless yet sophisticated looks, great combo.

long skirt with pockets $64

maxi pleated skirt $89

Long fine pleat skirt -$89

Long embroidered skirt- $83

long skirt $50 (also exists in black)

Hurry up and invest in such a piece; it will complete your SS12 closet!

Fashionably yours,

                                 Lana xx
