Tricks and Trends: How To Deal With Bad Hair Days

Well, (almost) no one wakes up on Monday looking extremely fresh and ready for a hectic week ahead. Most of the times, monday mornings get crappier as you look at yourself in the mirror and find out that you’re about to face another bad hair day. Three words: wear – a – hat !

Believe me or not, one of my 2014 new year’s resolutions was to wear more hats :D. Well, I’ve struggled in the past in order to find the perfect shapes that suit my face but I believe I’m on the right path. Yes, you absolutely need to be careful when shopping for hats. In fact, a certain shape could make you look fabulous while another could make you look like a fool. Always make sure to try on different styles before deciding. You will have to accept the fact that not all shapes suit your face structure! Also, you’ll have to make sure it fits well, not too tight so it doesn’t give you a headache and not too big or else you’ll spend your day running after a flying hat…we both know you don’t want any of these two situations to happen to you. Especially NOT on a monday.

All fashion essentials come from the past and I believe icons like Coco Chanel or Jeanne Lanvin knew exactly what they were doing when they adorned hats with all of their outfits! In fact, hats constitute outfits in themselves.

Now to cut it short, let’s focus today on how hats constitute the solution for clothing crises or bad hair days. Here are few ideas to get you started:

1. Wear an oversized cap to make your outfits trendier: you’ll love this approach to street style, especially on weekends! You could go pickier and pick a hat with a super cool tagline on it!

2. Wear a masculine hat with your monochrome (black and white) outfits, you’ll feel powerful.

3. Wear a summery floppy hat with your printed dresses or your lace shorts..it’s just so feminine!

4. Wear an eccentric hat (with lace details, a flower, pompoms, etc.) with your classic little dresses to your fancy nights out.

That’s it for today! You also need to be prepared to the fact that wearing a hat will make you get more attention than usual…so you better get your outfit right!

Fashionably yours,

Lana xx

Oh, thank God I don’t have to worry about that.

I have to wear my Mc Donald’s cap to work every day anyways.
