I was extremely proud to share with you a while ago the part one from L’Armoire De Lana’s first professional fashion editorial. As promised, today I’m publishing the rest of the pictures we have worked on!
Once again, I want to thank Mokhtar Photography, one of the best rising photographers in Beirut and I’m looking forward working on more projects with him for L’Armoire De Lana.
For the second part of our shoot, we went for something quite peculiar. I wanted to contrast the bold wardrobe with the galaxy print of the background (that we work hard on finding!!). As you can see with the pictures, the entire setting is very beautiful as it brings together a background with elements of the garden around. With all of these details, the point is to take you on the craziest trip to a new galaxy, out of this world!
Once again, I have to say how happy I am that this shoot is featuring the fabulous Zeina Makki, Lebanese actress and director. I’m sure all of you already know her for her leading roles in Habbeit Loulou and Neswein. Thank you Zeina for being so sweet, thank you for accepting to go with our concept and with the bold styling!
Let’s now quickly discuss with you the final two looks from our photo-shoot.
One of them features Zeina in a Peter Pilotto dress, yes it’s all about his prints! Zeina would rarely go for something that strong, which is what challenged me. We paired the dress with simple black shoes and a statement bracelet.
As for the third look, I wanted to go completely androgynous with silver brogue shoes, an oversized printed sweater and a 1960s hat. I broke the very manly side with a statement necklace, several rings and a very preppy pair of sunnies. Got to love mixing something androgynous with feminine elements!
I hope I was able to convince you with my styling and to help you see another side of Zeina’s personality. I love Mokhtar’s work regarding Zeina’s attitude in the pictures, I think this photoshoot simply rocks!
