Stephane Rolland Couture SS15: Setting The Woman Body Free

The Stephane Rolland I love is back. He got me used to him creating and recreating new silhouettes; always making sure the woman is looking at her best, enhancing her best features. In his SS15, everything is floaty, light, weightless.

The show kicked off with several white looks, installing a complete mood of serenity. I loved the use of transparent crinolines embroidered with gypsophilas, latex or lacquered lace. The first gown is actually one of my favorites, the gypsophilas made the model look so light, making us feel she was about to fly. Another of my favorite looks is the beaded t-shirt like dress with white mousseline for the bottom part of the gown. House classics followed with the use of jersey, his iconic gazar jumpsuits and silk crepe cape dresses that we love so much back in the middle-east. The statement puffy gowns made the audience gasp as they hit the runway. As for the palette of colors, it was all about black, white, terracottas shades, gold and silver powder; everything for a sumptuous summer full of luminosity. Last but not least, the soundtrack was just perfect! I loved listening to Rolland answering key questions about couture and his vision of the woman body while models walked the runway.
