Spring has a lot more than allergies to offer! It’s that time when we gather all the extravagant hair & make up trends that deserve to be remembered and memorized for a ‘state-of-art’ season. So here are the ‘key looks’ that took our breaths from the runways.
*’I woke up like this’ kind of make up!
For the past years minimalism has taken over the fashion world by storm. ‘Less is more’ is the new trend as seen at ‘Erdem’ with the natural eyes, at ‘Christopher Kane’ with row and undone beauty, at Burberry with the ‘effortless make up’ according to wendy Rowe, the Burberry make up consultant and Micheal Kors’s fresh and radiant glow.
*Lashes Catches The Masses!
Sixties are back! and yes they are here to stay! we spot them exaggerated at the Thomas Trait show, or winged ‘a la Amy Winehouse’ at Jeremy Scott’s. While other designers decided to give their models the hippie doll-like look with chunky lashes like Louis Vuitton and Mansur Gavriel.
*Pixie dust and Fairytale Glitters!
What we call ‘fairies make up’; models were showered with glitters on each of Ashish’s and Creatures of The Wind’s runways while powdered color eyeshadows were delicately sprayed on eyelids on the Chanel and Rosanda’s runways.
*Read Between The Dark Lines!
Whether they were underlining the eyes, on top, on bottom or both, heavy black liners were easily spotted on lash-lines in Issa and Emilio Pucci’s shows, while we see them floating boldly and graphically at Fendi and Celine’s.
*Accessories Make Histories!
especially if they are delicately orated headpieces as seen at Miu Miu, headbands and headscarves for a trendy villager look as Dolce & Gabbana, sparkling head accessories with a dramatic tendency as Ashley Williams or tropical wreath with a Tahitian twist as seen on Gigi Hadid on the Anna Sui runway.
*Let’s Twist Again…and Braid!
It’s amazing how a couple of pictures can help tutor us on how to get the trendiest twisted and braided hairstyles, whether criss crossed in a figure of eight just like on the Paul Smith’s show, rope braided and turned as Altuzarra or starting at a deep side across the foreheads to meet a ponytail like Herver Leger.
*Messy but Dressy!
This season, designers gave different interpretations for messy hairdos. The Alberta Ferreti runways inspired us with its soft feminine updos while creating textures. Vivienne Westwood gave a natural, uneven look for her runway beauties and finally Marc Jacobs gave it the grungy feel with the dissolved chignon.
*Wait! What? Wet?
Sweaty sexy look is the trend to follow for sun soaked spring and summer days. So reveal your ‘out of pool’ sexiness as spotted at the JW Anderson, David Koma, Julian Mcdonalds and Kenzo shows.
Make sure you try all these runway obsessions for your day to night catchy looks!
