Rami Kadi Couture SS15: Games of Illusions

From an orient-inspired collection to an outstanding game of illusions, Rami Kadi never ceases to impress. Apart from being a very good friend with the purest heart you could even meet, Rami Kadi has a talent without limits and nothing will stop his ascension.

I was so excited to be attending his SS15 couture presentation that took place in Paris at the Plaza Athenee Hotel. At first, when I entered the room, I thought the collection was a black-and-white game, celebrating the monochrome palette with hints of silver. Taking a closer look, I realized it was all about the holographic trend. And I loved it! What a contrast with the rest of the fashion happening. While all the designers were focusing on florals and spring-like themes, Rami (who had already tackled the floral details in a previous collection) takes couture to another level. This time, couture is sexy, futuristic. You can’t wear any of these looks and not make a statement. I like that the silhouette in this collection is very flattering, it celebrates the woman with the thin waist, the bare midriff, the playful ladylike skirt.

I was so happy to wear a custom-made skirt, using the holographic materials used for the new collection to the Valentino fashion show. I have to admit that photographers rushed to take pictures of the skirt, asking me about the designer, touching the material used, opening their eyes in wonder. Thank you Rami for trusting me with your creations. Stay tuned for exclusive pictures of the look.
