Great start of the week as I was checking again all of this weekend’s fashion shows in London.
-Mary Katrantzou: I love how this designer was able to leave her very own mark on the fashion world. I strongly believe she’s currently the best at creating the craziest yet most harmonious prints. You will adore what she has revealed for SS12.
-Topshop Unique: I liked the show, the easy clothes, the simple designs, the monochrome outfits and especially the effortless look when it came to hair and makeup.
-Burberry Prorsum: Once again this year, Burberry stood out. Again, they revamped their trademark trench coat using different colored lace and satin versions (the fuchsia and blue metallic ones were my fav!). With more color-blocking, peplums and feather dresses, Burberry created a very nice bouquet for Spring 2013.
-Philip Treacy: Here’s one of the shows that people are talking about the most in London. Few days ago, Lady Gaga opened Philip Treacy’s first show in nearly twelve years! To the remixed tunes of Bad, Thriller and Way You Make Me Feel, the models walked down the runway wearing jackets from Michael Jackson’s own wardrobe, accessorizing with blinged up gloves and the odd MJ move. How could anyone resist?!
-Vivienne Westwood Red Label: They say no one cuts a dress like she does. And this show really was a proof. I liked how her show was quite different this time with very summery colors, nice prints on tea dresses and fab pyjama pants. I wasn’t fan much of the gold cowboy boots but the printed headscarves were nice as well. There was her own crazy touch with the models’ faces painted in green/pink.
