Lana reviews: Basil Soda SS12 Haute Couture

Some of you might judge it as a late post but I always like to go back to the Fashion Week couple of weeks later and review collections after having seen them more than just a couple of times.

Basil Soda is a dear friend but most importantly a great international Lebanese designer. I personally love him and pampered myself with items from his collections.

Today, I want to go back to the revelation of his Spring Summer 2012 creations during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

Basil Soda SS12

For his SS12 collection, Basil worked with bold and strong colors like tangerine and yellow. I particularly loved the work with the different textures and fabrics; this touch of a metal belt on some of the dresses adds something so modern to the classical  shapes of the dresses. The embroideries are very subtle yet just right for the dress to shine!

Here’s a selection of my favorite dresses of this collection:

Fabulous color

Gorgeous! Great work with the fabrics!

Something so different!! WOW!I love
