I had the immense pleasure to attend Roger Vivier’s Fall Winter 2014 collection presentation in Paris during the fashion week. I have to say that, this time more than any other time before, I’m even more in love with the brand.
First-of-all, the theme chosen by Bruno Frisoni for the collection is extremely interesting. As I stepped in, a modern and luxurious bazar welcomed me. I loved the oriental rugs and the big colorful bags of sand used for the set up. The entrance is particularly breathtaking.
Let’s now take a closer look at the collection itself. I loved how the brand added essential sexiness to its collection with the brand new Stiletto-Sphere, providing the luxurious mystery. You will find a ball nestle under the heel, stuck by a very high needle. Love this approach!
Another interesting new entry is the hit “Ines” bag, a timeless object that could be handed down from mother to daughter. It’s this simple purse that you could wear to a fancy brunch, a work meeting or even late night party. Another daring change is how the brand’s classic “virgule” heel has been introduced on high boots and ankle boots.
The entire theme of the Orient was very apparent with the bold colors, the leather, the beaded Indian flowers, the panther prints and even the play on volumes and fabrics.
