Lana Covers: Rabih Kayrouz for LA REDOUTE

BREAKING NEWS! Maison Rabih Kayrouz has just unveiled its latest collaboration.

La Redoute is the typical French fashion house. For those of you who haven’t heard about it, it’s a bit like the French version of Asos. It is THE best in France when it comes to mailing stores,

Last thursday, I was glad to be invited at Maison Rabih Kayrouz for a brunch and a reveal of the collection that our very dear Lebanese designer prepared for the French brand. These items will be part of La Redoute’s coming Autumn-Winter Collection 2012-13.

The brunch menu was extremely yummy and we really had such a good time discussing the collection with Rabih and taking a look at it!

I love every single detail about this atelier!

Today, we have a very exclusive sneak peek of this collection for you dear readers. You will just love the grenade print that Rabih Kayrouz created for the French brand. Winter appears so colorful already! Red, black, fuchsia and off-white are part of the palette he used for the collection.

Cotton shirts, knit dresses and other classics of Maison Rabih Kayrouz have been reworked in a fun way, allowing their wearer to integrate them in their own wardrobe or with other Maison Rabih Kayrouz pieces as well!

I had so much fun recreating outfits with the available pieces!

“For this collaboration, I had fun re-imagining pomegranate prints, the symbole of the house. Drawn by hand I used the pomegranate in a few pieces: a dress, a tee-shirt and a canvas tote.” I think this is the best summary that Rabih can give of the spirit behind this capsule collection!

The great news are that this collection will available starting June 19th, 2012 on maisonrabihkayrouzpourlaredoute.com and in the Maison’s atelier in Beirut on July 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th. Stay tuned! L’Armoire De Lana will be there.

Fashionably yours,

                             Lana xx
