Back to black. It’s summer season, it’s wedding season. Universally, we all have one thing on our minds at this time of the year: what can we add to our spring/summer wardrobes?
Here’s to one of the most exciting part of our summers, however, it also means going from a shop to another to find the right dresses for our events. The little black dress stays my number one, but it’s time update it. Forget about the short and simple black lace dress, the tight long sleeves one or even the classic v-shaped piece. This summer, all the basics are back in trend but with a major twist.
Think about the detail that will make your look different: it could be the fabric used, it could be the shape of the back, the little cutouts on the sides, you will find the winning detail.
My heart fell for this little black dress in everything different that she has to show: how it’s shorter in the front yet longer from the back, how the deep v-back reminds me of my wedding dress, how the little cutouts makes it a sexy piece. And then, just like for any other black dress, it will come down to the styling. The oriental side of me couldn’t but fall for this Sylvia Toledano piece, the healing eye, a must.
Ready for wedding season shopping?
