With the latest collections of main fashion houses like Lanvin, Givenchy and others, metallics aren’t exclusive to the holiday season anymore. Yes, full-shine pieces made their way back to our closets. I know that many of you are still hesitating about this trend, especially for a day look. However, today I want you to put this fear aside; the key is to not overdo it. It’s time to take this craze from runway to the streets.
The main trick to tackle metallics is to wear it in small doses, contrasting the metallic piece with another matte element and adding a nice accessory. Be very careful as not all shades of metallics work with every skin tone, I will be blogging about this specific point very soon.
Meanwhile, I had fun styling my metallic Noisy May skirt with a cropped black top, slightly showing my midriff; going for a very feminine look. I paired this outfit with black patent heels and a transparent clutch to tone it down. As I’m always a little daring, I added an oversized choker in the same metallic hue than the skirt. Accessorizing is the secret to successful outfits.
I am wearing: Noisy May metallic skirt, Sandro cropped top, Saint Laurent Paris heels, Charlotte Olympia clutch and a Shourouk statement necklace.
