Beauty: Temporary Makeup Tattoos

For all makeup lovers, this is about something trending a little bit more nowadays. As I was reading the September issue of Instyle magazine with the gorgeous Beyonce on the cover, I stumbled upon an article that convinced me. Temporary tattoos are extremely practical must-haves.

Fabulous Beyonce- InStyle September

Make up stickers seriously remind me of my childhood so I really find it exciting that beauty brands are setting it as a new trend.

Violent Lips is revolutionary as it made available the most varied temporary lip tattoos from animal print, rainbow to polka dots and glitter for $14.95 the pack of 3 appliques.

Here’s a very nice selection, all available on www.violentlips.com,

HOW TO USE TEMPORARY LIP TATTOOS:

Here’s a quick explanation.

You’ll need: a pair of Scissors, a Mirror, Cotton Balls, Water and Violent lips.

1) Remove the appliqué out of its stencil.

2) Line the center of the top lip appliqué to your cupid and measure the width and depth of your lip with your mouth open to a wide “Ahh” Shape. Make sure to stay outside your water line. (For the Glittery ones, you’ll need to open your mouth to a wide “Ohhh” shape, this is no joking.)

3) Cut to your measurements using the horizontal and vertical guides on the back of the lips and peel the plastic film off the appliqué.

4) Finally, put the sticky side of the appliqué on your lips, making sure to keep your mouth in the wide “Ahh” shape. Soak the paper backing in water using your cotton ball until the paper starts to slide off. Seal and smooth the appliqués with a generous amount of water using your cotton swab.

** Wait 5 minutes for your lips to fully dry before you apply any product over your lips, eat or drink.

DIOR Velvet Eyes:

Here’s a brand new product that will drive you all crazy. We all know how to apply basic makeup but eyeliner is totally the hardest one to manage well. Every single time that I try to draw a thick kohl line, I always end up using cotton and makeup remover to adjust it better to my eyes.

Dior brought us the most glamorous solution but beware this product is exclusive to Sephora and only available as a limited edition!

While the whole stick-on eyeshadow thing never really worked and nail polish appliques got people obsessed, what about the eyeliner stick-on?Recalling the ’60s-inspired winged, liquid-liner vibe (a look that can definitely be difficult to master), the Velvet Eyes set comes in four reusable options: Two pairs of matte black patches called “Effet Velours,” (one is a full line and one is slightly curved for a more graphic look), Effet Brilliant is adorned with black Swarovski micro-crystals, and Effet Haute Couture is embellished with Swarovski crystals at the corner of each eye. The patches got launched just in time for Fashion’s Night Out!
