Lana reviews: Nicki Minaj at New York Fashion Week

Nicki Minaj has been making the rounds at New York’s Fashion Week and her crazy outfits didn’t pass unnoticed. The singer maybe used all her clothes and the most colorful wigs she could have found.

In a way, while some catwalks could have used some colors, Minaj brings us her own technicolor looks to each show.

First, let’s look at Nicki’s appearance at Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2012 fashion show during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. In a colorful “puff-ball” dress and her platinum Marie Antoinette wig, Minaj is surely in fashion.

Nicki in a "puff ball" technicolor dress- I love her heels and socks!

However, I want to mention something really quickly. There’s actually a scandal about this outfit as a young designer claimed it being a ‘blatant copy” of her work as you can check on the picture below. However, we can only wait for more information about that.

Jessica Rogers in her own "Puff Ball" says she was in tears after seeing pictures of Nicki Minaj. She says her design was plagiarized.

Nicki left her platinum Marie Antoinette wig behind at Carolina Herrera’s show and had an outfit change before Betsy Johnson. This one looks like she just won some sort of babyshower costume contest. And I totally LOVE IT!

Now, checkout Nicki  at Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2012 fashion show. This one’s my favorite! The leggings are just gorgeous, I want such a pair so bad now!

Finally, Minaj goes for animal prints for Oscar de La Renta!  She shows off her curves and I really like the great example of confidence that she gives us!

I love that she’s in the perfect mood and shape for fashion week and we cannot deny that she succeeded at being noticed! She’s being herself; the energetic punch of life reincarnation.

Fashionably yours,

Lana xx
