Lana covers: Aïshti Fall/Winter ’11/12 Fashion Show

Last week, on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, Aïshti hosted a fashion show to showcase the new fall/winter 2011-12 collections. This event took place in Downtown Beirut as part of the MasterCard Aïshti Fashion Experience.

I had the pleasure to help during the preparations for this event as part of my internship at Aishti Magazine. I also enjoyed the show with my mother and sister.

The evening kicked off with an outdoor fashion show on a majestic catwalk set up directly in front of Aïshti’s Downtown store amidst a street of red lighting. Gorgeous male and female models strutted down the 40 square meter white runway sporting key looks from the fall/winter 2011-12 collections, by the likes of YSL, Gucci, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Céline, Dior, Emilio Pucci, Agent Provocateur, Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, Zegna, Canali, Corneliani, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Etro, Jimmy Choo and Roberto Cavalli.

Here’s a slideshow with most of the outfits on the catwalk (checkout the brands I mentioned above and for more details, contact me):

The outfits were gorgeous! And I really loved the music during the show.

After the show, an exciting draw for special prizes took place. Global Blue awarded three $5,000 gift vouchers to be spent at Aïshti; Mastercard awarded one $7,000 voucher to be spent at Aïshti; and Aïshti awarded one $5,000 voucher as well. Finally, the most coveted prize was a brand-new Fiat 500. The fashion event also saw the unveiling of the stylish Fiat 500 by Gucci. Lebanon is the first country outside of Europe in which the iconic car, customized by Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini, is available.

We need more fashion nights out in B-town!

Fashionably yours,

                               Lana xx
