Beauty: Get Jessica Alba’s metallic smoky eyes for $55 only

This post is a first of its kind on L’Armoire De Lana. Every now and then, I will pick a celebrity makeup that fits one of the ongoing season’s trends and I’ll blog about how to get this look with a very reasonable budget.

Heavy eye make-up has been a big trend since last spring and bold metallic eyes were seen everywhere from Giorgio Armani to Rodarte and Fendi. A healthy dose of sparkle seems now needed for almost every smoky eye. Jessica Alba is my choice of the month!
Now here’s what you need for an (almost) effortless black & grey metallic look:
1: “Queen attitude” Khol Kajal by Bourjois ($15): start with this slightly thin eyeliner and draw a thick line above your lashes. Then, smudge it as much as possible with a brush, be careful so it doesn’t get too messy.

2: “Smoky eyes”, trio eyeshadow by Bourgeois ($20): use this trio eyeshadow by going from the darkest eyeshadow to the lightest under your eyebrows. It’s very easy to go, the trick is to use the darkest grey to cover the thick eyeliner was previously made smudgy.
OR 3:
“Smoky eyes effect” in two steps by Max Factor ($14): even easier option with eyeshadows in a sort of a pen! Use the grey side first.

4: “False Lash Effect” by Max Factor ($17): After you’re done with both eyeliner and eyeshadows, it’s time to lengthen and thickening your lashes as much as possible. Be delicate and patient, the results will now show.

Important tip: Always go for light pink almost nude lipsticks when you’re opting for the bold metallic eyes trend.
